It is only normal that you are going have a few questions, especially with this style of shoot. I hope to answer a few of them here but if you don't see your question feel free to message me.
WHAT DOES AN ART OF YOU SESSION COST?
I have various packages and options available depending on what you would like. The final amount you spend is up to you. All pricing is upfront and open with no hard sell techniques. You can find out more here at Packages And Pricing
HOW DOES THE WHOLE EXPERIENCE WORK?
Every session is a unique and special as you are but does revolve around a tried and tested formula which has become my normal. However this will not be be your normal and it is my job to show you the way which starts with a personal consultation. That first enquiry is the hardest step. You don't need to be confident to do this, just brave. More here at The Process
CAN I BRING A FRIEND WITH ME?
Yes you can. It is not common but you are more than welcome to have a support person who makes you feel comfortable and has good supportive energy. This can be important for some people as a nude photo shoot can leave you feeling a little vulnerable but for this reason alone you should make sure you have chosen the right person. This might sound obvious, but I have seen first hand how a bad decision here can impact on a shoot in a negative way. I have had people chaperone clients who had great positive energy and made for wonderful, welcome additions and those who compromised the quality of the photo shoot with their presence. I do prefer photographing clients one on one as I feel I am able to connect better and get good flow in shoot which is a win win for everyone.
HOW LONG SHOULD I ALLOW FOR PHOTO SHOOT
It varies a little. Hair and makeup generally takes 1.25 to 1.5 hours followed by shoot which is usually another 2.5 hours. Add in a toilet stop or two and a bit of conversation and you looking at around 4.5 hours in total.
IS HAIR AND MAKEUP INCLUDED?
Yes, professional hair makeup is included and is done onsite immediately prior to shoot. I will try where possible to match you to one of my preferred artists. Generally this is for one look only. Makeup artist does not stay for photo shoot.
CAN I USE MY OWN MAKEUP ARTIST?
In most cases no. Reason for this is it usually results in a friend doing it for cheap or free with sub standard results, taking unneccessarily long and in some cases them pulling out at the last minute because something better popped up. If you did want a friend to do it it would mean doing it offsite and arriving all set to go. And sorry, no discount given because you opted out of this service.
WHAT WARDROBE SHALL I BRING?
This is an artistic nude style photo shoot and as such wardrobe does not form a major part of the shoot however it can be advantageous when going for an artistic theme where perhaps one or two items of wardrobe might work. Examples of this might be pointe shoes for a ballerina shot, husbands/ partners shirt or business tie, favourite hat etc but not evening dress, active wear, full lingerie sets etc. Also props personal to you are welcome, for example violin, cello etc. Just remember this is about creating art. Art like a lot of things is subjective. If you had any particular items in mind let me know.
I HAVE NEVER DONE A PHOTO SHOOT BEFORE AND DON'T KNOW HOW TO POSE, WHAT DO I DO?
No problem, this is very common. I will verbally direct and guide you the whole way and find flattering angles and lighting setups which work for your body type and your taste in images.
DO YOU PHOTOSHOP MY IMAGES?
Yes. Photoshop is a vital part of the photographic and artistic process and cannot be abandoned. But it does not mean you will not end up looking like you though. Most Photoshop work is done to eliminate backround distractions, reduce creases in skin induced by a particular pose or lighting angle and to lighten and darken certain parts of an image to draw attention to the right places. The level of photoshopping is decided by you and can be discussed either at pre shoot consult or during the shoot itself.
WILL MY PHOTOS BE SHARED PUBLICLY?
No, never. Not without your permission anyway. I do not get you to sign a contract to waive your rights in regards to this. Some clients ask that I do share their images as this can create an extra confidence boost for them but this is all dicussed post shoot and my use of your images is not expexted or demanded.
I HAVE IDEAS FROM ANOTHER PHOTOGRAPHERS WEBSITE. IS THAT OK?
Absolutely!! I encourage this but just be aware no two photographers have the same style, experience or workflow. I shoot in my style, that's why clients book me and although I am happy to work with your inspiration it will be my interpretation of it. If you are looking for a specific style of another photographer you are best contacting them.
AM I ALLOWED A DRINK TO CALM MY NERVES?
Yes, just a little though. You will need to stay coherrent, take direction and keep your balance. I do not supply alcohol for various reasons (male photographer/ female client is obvious one) but you are welcome to bring a little something to calm the nerves.
